Below you will find a list by type of all the 1/48th scale model aircraft I have built over the years, with links to the separate aircraft weblog pages. Individual Weblogs feature my brief inspiration and review of the model kit.
Hopefully you will find the content informative, inspiring & entertaining. Let me know if you have any questions or comments here or through one of my social media connections.

Splinter Scooter: 1/48th Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk
The 1/48th Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk kit is still a highly recommended build in my books. The landing gear and other details are quite fine and to scale. (But be warned, some of those parts are almost too small to handle.)

Double Trouble: 1/48th Hasegawa TA-4J Skyhawk
This 2009 1/48th Hasegawa TA-4J Skyhawk kit is not perfect, however it still ranks as the best kit to go with for your dual seat trainer Scooter build.

The 1/48th Hasegawa F-14 Tomcats weren't introduced until the late 1980s and were quickly hailed as the best detailed Tomcat kit

In 2013 Kinetic released their C1 / F-21 Kfir kit. There hadn't been a model released of this type in 1/48th scale since the 70's ESCI mold

Flanker Cat: 1/48th Academy F-14A Tomcat
The 1989 Academy 1/48th scale F-14 kit was a good option if you were looking to build up a Tomcat (or several) without breaking the bank.

Jet Train: 1/48th Wolfpack T-38A Talon
This is Wolfpack's T-38A Talon in 1/48th scale, which is a pretty straight-forward build with some nice detail.

NFWS Tiger: 1/48th Monogram F-5F Tiger II
Monogram's 1/48th scale aircraft typically contained good detail in few parts, all at a reasonable price. This 1985 release of their 1/48th Monogram F-5F Tiger II although now dated with its raised panel lines and comparatively simple components, is not up-to-grade with current kits, however it still has potential.

Colourful Scooter: 1/48th Monogram OA-4M Skyhawk
Considering the inexpensive price that these Skyhawk kits can be found at, this 1/48th Monogram OA-4M Skyhawk still builds up into a respectable model

Western Cold-War Minimalism: Kinetic 1/48th CF-5A
Although the Kinetic 1/48th F-5A is not a quick build, with careful fitting and patience in places, an excellent model can be produced.
