City of Hamilton : 1/48th Hasegawa P-51D Mustang
First released in 1991, the 1/48th Hasegawa P-51D Mustang set a new high standard for Mustangs in this scale. Typical of Hasegawa, their kit had very fine surface details with nice crisp moulding and good fit in the parts department.

First released back in 1995 the 1/48th Tamiya P-51D Mustang is now over 30 years old. Its minor faults are eclipsed by its strengths, allowing you to get a great looking Mustang build

Ukraine Striker: 1/48th Academy MiG-29 UB
There are not many choices of MiG-29 kits in this scale and this is the only dual-seater kit that I have come across. While this kit has its issues the 1/48th Academy MiG-29 UB will get you a MiG-29 trainer

Female Aces: 1/48 Accurate Miniatures Yak-1
Sporting finely molded surface details with good parts fit they also focused on some types that weren't given much attention previously. This 1/48 Accurate Miniatures Yak-1 is another good quality example of their product line.

Aggressor Light: 1/48th Trumpeter T-38A Talon
The 1/48th Trumpeter T-38A Talon, released in 2014, was less than a year behind the 1/48th Wolfpack kit (2013). Both kits are similar in construction, detail level as well as price point.

Yakimenko's Yak: 1/48th Eduard Yak-3
The original Eduard release of this kit dates back to 1998, however my kit build is the later 2008 1/48th Eduard Yak-3 Weekend Edition. These kit editions feature just the plastic parts for a relatively simple build, with no photo-etch or resin components.

Splinter Scooter: 1/48th Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk
The 1/48th Hasegawa A-4M Skyhawk kit is still a highly recommended build in my books. The landing gear and other details are quite fine and to scale. (But be warned, some of those parts are almost too small to handle.)
